Comgenerator 5MHz–3GHz, TBCG3-RN2

Characteristic frequency range: 5MHz to 3GHz

The TBCG3-RN2 comb generator is primarily designed to test the setup of radiated emissions. It is a tool that helps verify the proper operation of antennas and preamplifiers, as well as the accurate setup and configuration of spectrum analyzers. Its characteristics in anechoic chambers are well known, and the radiation plot can be used as a benchmark to compare the comb generator at the same location as the EUT with non-ideal settings. Using a rotary switch, you can select between five fixed comb frequencies and an external comb frequency input ranging from 5 kHz to 200 MHz. The switchable RF amplifier can potentially increase the output signal by 20 decibels (dB). The comb generator comes with two monopole antennas: one is a 30 cm monopole for frequencies up to 300 to 500 MHz, and the other is for frequencies above that. The radiated comb spectrum is characterized in the range of 5 MHz to 6 GHz.

Comgenerator 5KHz–2GHz TBCG3-CN

A useful tool for verifying the correct operation of LISN, the proper setup of the spectrum analyzer, and the correct configuration.

The TBCG3-CN comb generator is primarily designed to verify the setup of conductive emission tests. It is a useful tool for validating the correct operation of the LISN, the proper setup of the spectrum analyzer, and the correct configuration. Using a rotary switch, you can select between five fixed comb frequencies and an external excitation input in the frequency range of 5 kHz to 300 MHz. The comb generator comes with country-specific adapter cables that plug into the DUT socket of the LISN (when powered off). This device operates on four AA nickel-metal hydride batteries and includes an external charger. The TBCG3-CN generates a comb spectrum with approximately 8 dB flatness over a frequency range of up to 1.5 GHz and features a 50-ohm output with a female N connector. The housing is made from solid aluminum, and the 1/4 inch – 20 UNC screws on the comb panel are compatible with standard tripod bolts.
