A useful tool for verifying the correct operation of LISN, the proper setup of the spectrum analyzer, and the correct configuration.
The TBCG3-CN comb generator is primarily designed to verify the setup of conductive emission tests. It is a useful tool for validating the correct operation of the LISN, the proper setup of the spectrum analyzer, and the correct configuration. Using a rotary switch, you can select between five fixed comb frequencies and an external excitation input in the frequency range of 5 kHz to 300 MHz. The comb generator comes with country-specific adapter cables that plug into the DUT socket of the LISN (when powered off). This device operates on four AA nickel-metal hydride batteries and includes an external charger. The TBCG3-CN generates a comb spectrum with approximately 8 dB flatness over a frequency range of up to 1.5 GHz and features a 50-ohm output with a female N connector. The housing is made from solid aluminum, and the 1/4 inch – 20 UNC screws on the comb panel are compatible with standard tripod bolts.
